Speaking about relationships and the pressure to settle down, Vee said wanting love, marriage and children are normal desires, but allowing the desire to become desperation could lead to poor decisions.
“Desperation for marriage will land you in trouble. It is okay to want to settle down. It is okay to want love. It is okay to want marriage. It is okay. These are normal human desires. But your desperation for that thing will land you in trouble,” she said.
Vee noted that some men can recognise when a woman is desperate for marriage, money or children and may take advantage of that vulnerability.
“Men are not stupid. They can smell the desperation. The desperation for marriage. The desperation for children. The desperation for money, and they will use it as a weapon against you if you don’t use your oppa,” she said.
She also cautioned women against allowing emotions to override logic when making decisions about relationships, particularly when there are obvious warning signs.
According to her, women should not ignore red flags simply because they are eager to settle down.
“A lot of women have been sold a dream, a fairy tale of what womanhood is meant to look like. As soon as you stop applying logic to situations in life and you push your emotions harder than your logic, you are in trouble,” she said.
Vee further advised women to walk away from relationships where there is persistent cheating rather than remaining because of the desire to get married.
“Moral of the story is anything you see when you stay with a cheating man, drop them like that. Your desperation for marriage will...” she said.
She stressed that while marriage and love are valid desires, women should approach relationships with caution and remain attentive to signs that could indicate a problematic partner.
